GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Portrait of a Cat
Year Created: 2003
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 12

MY COMMENTS:
This is a 12" diameter round acrylic painting on canvas. The edges are painted black and are unstapled. The cat is sitting in a sunny window with eyes closed. Impressionistic.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
brushwork/linework, perspective, likeness etc.

I like the colors and I'm sure it has a special meaning to you. As far as lines go, you may want to take a fan brush and make the fur in the light area on the neck go more vertical northwest to southeast overlapping the darker fur on the shoulder to suggest texture.

Also the lower part of the eye needs to be rounded slightly. and add some light color to the darker fur above the eye.

Thanks to both of you for your praise and advice. :D I'll try the fan brush next time I paint fur.
