Hello everyone, I'm a new user. Here's my winter landscape, its done on a small, blue piece of paper with soft pastel pencils. Can anyone offer me some constructive criticism/comments on this that I should keep in mind for the future?

Two things come to mind. First value contrasts should be less in the distance than in the foreground. That is the differences between your lights and darks would be less further away.

Second, this appears to be a night scene, or at least fairly dark over all. With daylight pictures, the colors get lighter in the distance, but with a dark picture the reverse occurs. Things further away would be darker. Except you seem to have a light source on the left, which means not only what I said would occur, but also things would get less light as they get further away from your light source.

Of course there are other considerations, like handling of edges, detail, etc. But, I'll let someone else handle those.
