View Full Version : Heinz Field - 8x10 - 7 Color Reduction

04-28-2016, 10:15 AM

Finally completed this 8x10 (inches), 7 color reduction print of the Heinz Field logo in Pittsburgh, PA.

Very excited to have finished this print, I guess now it's time to really start preparing for some of the upcoming shows that I want to try and enter some recent prints into.

I also find that every print teaches you something different...this one taught me that I should've carved just a tiny bit more in some areas...literally...."tiny" bit more. Ugh. HAHA.

agree with Diane...spot on
at first I mistook it for a serigraph print but the keyword reduction clued me in

Wow. This is so clean. How do you do your registration?

This is a picture of my registration jig I made. I bought a 3/4" piece of wood at the local lumber store and then used wood glue to put them together (I also made a newer one that is screwed together, but I'm not as happy with it). I drilled holes and bought a dowel rod that just fits into the hole.

I have to remove the dowels every time I run it through the press. I honestly cannot believe that it works...its very rudimentary, but has worked very well for me.
