You're right Hairy. We can't force it. That's why I was away for a long dry spell. Been back a couple of weeks and missed your presence.

the shrink in me says,
the red bars, the black fingers, the underlying skull shape backed up with the small tooth grimace all show your locked up creative motivation. the angled light slash of cheeky grin shows your defiance, but the eyes say you're not so sure.
the defiant body stance wins and there you have a painting.
and i am not a shrink.

love the arrangement of colors
