I went to a life workshop yesterday with a very good tutor - who pushes you, makes you work fast and free up :) Not my usual subject, rarely do this, so way outside the comfort zone!

We had 5 minute poses and a 25 minute pose

- and warm up exercises - like shutting our eyes and drawing the feeling of riding a horse with the side of the charcoal on A1 (large) paper - duh I haven't been on a horse since I was a small child and was terrified of being so far off the ground! Then smudge it out and work over the marks left for the first few poses - all about not being neat and precious and seeing the interesting marks that come from that, and feeling not just looking and recording.

so - not great drawings but fast and I learned a lot and it helped free me up - all on A1 sheets of paper - equivalent to 8 sheets of computer paper joined for those who don't know EU sizes.

25 min pose
Brain getting very tired by now and as I say, not finished or great drawings but a good refresher in reacting to the subject and not getting too fussy :)
