Beautiful bright colors. I'm troubled by the abrupt shadow on the lower left of the pepper, everything else looks special.

Pam. I really love this. Your bold and crisp, vibrant watercolours are fantastic.
The only thing that bugs me here is the leek seems unreal or not 3dimensional. It does not sem to be weighted. I don't know how to correct this at the moment. I think it is maybe too stark. The shadow cast by it could use a bit of toning down or fuzzying.
The hot and cools work well!
It is great.

shadows could use more color but overall this is a great combo of color and rendering. Puts me in the mood for a BC .. LOL

Very lucious looking veggies.
Beautiful color.
According to the rules some of the objects take you out the picture,
but we don't always follow the rules.
Just something to think about.

This is a tough to beat work. dunno about your struggle so much, but I'll agree with Woodguy (Jim).

great solid non washed out color and strong forms make up a good composition. Strong and steady balance between shapes and colors. each item has great weight and proportion and a good feeling of what is going on.

this is wonderful painting. I love the colors you have used. The vegetables are fantastic. I think you did a wonderful job here.
The shadow on the pepper seems a bit too dark but then I my monitor is not always showing true colors.

The warm vs cool cool colors are great. The vegetables are beautifully rendered and the peppers and onion seem to lift off the page. The cast shadow is gorgeous. To me though the plate and the leek (one of fav vegetables btw) could use more shading values. They seem flatter compared to the rest.

Andrew

p.s. What brand of paper did you use?
