Hi art buddies - any suggestions for February project, in addition to our junk journal work?

Currently I'm busy cutting cardboard spacers for the over 300 artomat blocks...:clear:

I really need to get outside today for a walk.

Here's one I finally got around to finishing. It's in moleskin - 2 pages....though I think the individual pages could stand alone.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Feb-2016/88676-liftingtop.gif http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Feb-2016/88676-liftingbottom.gif

Very nice work Robin!
Is this some your gouache work?

It was beautiful here yesterday and nicer today.
Get outside today and enjoy the sunshine.

Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day, so let's cross our fingers for
an early spring.

Well, my cat finally emerged from hiding under the bed. Now she wants to get out and leave this terrible place. So in the middle of summer I cannot open any windows, and she kept me up the whole night, screaming and screaming to be let out.

To make matters worse, the power will be off the whole day because of scheduled maintenance and upgrading, so no electric fan either.

Spare a thought for me, and my poor (long-haired) cat.

I sympathize with you and your poor but noisy cat Brian!! There's nothing worse than a demented pet howling all night!

I love your paintings Robin. Very angelic. Very original.

I added a new project so take a look and maybe join in if you have time this month!

Using stamps and stencils in a mixed media painting.

We are having lovely mild weather just now after hurricane type winds a few days ago.

Hi everybody - Nickel and June - I'm glad youre having nice weather. It is gloomy weather here......hot cocoa and popcorn weather.

Brian, oh man, that poor kitty, that poor kitty.

I'm going on a weekend retreat with some ladies. We are studying Kabbalah and the friend preparing the lessons asked me to make a cover for the booklet. So I've been working on this all day. It is ink.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/02-Feb-2016/88676-house-of-Intentionsmaller.gif

Lovely to see the latest artwork Robin. The front cover for the retreat is beautiful! It sound very intriguing. I know nothing about Kaballah. I love the kid's drawing too. Isn't it amazing how many kids drawings include a rainbow?

I am pretty much stuck indoors recently because of the wet grey weather. I've been doing some art but just bits and pieces like backgournds and nothing finished yet.

Well, both the cat and I are settling in nicely in the new place. The cat's no longer terrified all the time, though she is not amused at the fact that there are dogs around...

A drawing or two:

A sunset scene:

And an 18th birthday gift for the daughter of my landlady - a portrait of her boyfriend:

Good to see everyone's work.

Brian, glad to hear things are getting back to normal for you!

I actually hosted the wde (weekend drawing event) this past week so didn't want not to participate, time gets away from me here. The wde's are quickie works produced in under two hours from a choice of 16 images.

This is a bench from my garden. Painted with the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on Japanese watercolor post card paper. This paper literally sucked the paint right off the brush. About 4 x 6 inches.

forgot I added some soft pastels to this too!

Lovely drawings Brian. Glad the cat is feeling more secure.

Lovely watercolour sketch, Nickel. I didn't have time to do the WDE this week. I think I will save a few photos to do later!!

Never tried one of those flower-with-dewdrop things before. Not sure I was entirely successful, but it sure was fun. As with some of the previous drawings, 3.5" x 5":

Hi - been away from the art table for a while - other activities , not unpleasant , but I'm so glad to be at least back thinking about art.

Brian, glad to hear you two are getting settled in. Lovely pencil work.....it is great to make art for people you know.......I'm sure she will love the portrait.
Your dew drop adventure is quite good. yep, I recognise Harry. Just saw a clip about a true story of somekind of soldier's drama Daniel Radcliff is beginning work on (playing the lead) He is a personalble actor, I think. down to earth.....

susan, whenever I see pencil drawings I first think of you.

Nickel - that is a cool bench piece......cool in tempurature and so airy , not too much activity but enough dashes of color and atmosphere to make me wanna sit in the bench a while and look. I think you susceeded in a good balance .

June - Sounds like a lovely way to spend a couple of rainy days. Making backgrounds gives an interesting sensation.

since beginning the 120 paintings I've begun studying art composition with a deeper interest and understanding thru the artbooks I accumulated during the child raising years.

Gotta go make some new table napkins. The old ones are looking pretty dingy. Mitre the corners and all that.

Hi Robin and Janet!

So happy tomorrow is March and Spring is almost here!
Nice and sunny here today, warm enough to go outside without a jacket.
Weather like this makes me happy! Wishing you all a productive & merry day!

Would love to go and buy some new paint or paper and play. Will just go play in my supplies I've got. Lol. See you next month!
