View Full Version : Photo Manip Challenge...January-February 2016

Yes, just manipulation. It would be fun to play around with a photo in whatever way we like. No hard and fast rules, it could be as simple as black and white transformation, or could be added something to the photo.

The main rule is to have fun and be creative.

I highly recommend that everybody make an effort to participate in these challenges, because it really is a good "creative workout". I hadn't done manipulations in years. Back in my earlier days of digital, I did a lot of this sort of thing, where a photo "morphed" into a painted or drawn image, or into a line drawing or abstracted manipulation of the original photo, but I hadn't done one in years.
I wanted to support Maria in her efforts to get us actively participating so I decided to open the photo and see what I came up with. After a few different attempts, I decided I wanted a car popping out of the frame, so I found the car on our reference Library from Crias. After playing around with that for a while, I decided to let the photo become a painting and add a person. Opened the psd file in Artrage, and I had all the layers intact. Who knows, I just might starting working in this manner again.....
It a good thing get out of the rut, stretch and do something a little different for a change!

Elaine this is fantastic. It gave it a life.

Les, this photo is taken from RIL, so we can use it.

Now a days I'm too busy with my both children and house hold chores that is why not finding time to do anything. But I'll try soon.

Thanks Maria, so glad you are finding time for the challenges and helping us out, while raising your children. It is important to keep a balance in your life, family AND your interests, as your children grow. They will always need you but some day you will need other interests as well.

Well done Bob!

Thanks! These are fun. We should have more of them.

Other than being just fun, it gets you to use some tools and methods in your chosen software that you might not normally use.

I know I used a few things I'd always wanted to try, but never had a need to.

After a very very long time, I am here, to get to know something about digital art. Was excited about this challenge, don't have a clue, no current software, just impulse, tried this with MS Paint & Paint.net basic one.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/21-Mar-2016/42834-Through_the_window.jpg
