Today, from 2-4pm at the Clackamas Art Media in Clackamas, Oregon (just South of Portland), there will be a Speedball Block printing demo.

It looks like you had a lot of fun:) Did you use the reduction technique to get your colors, or more than one plate?

Ummm.. I dont' know what hte reduction technique is, and just one plate.

We used markers to color on the plates and then stamp them :) Cheap and easy, yes I know!

I'm *such* a novice, but printmaking seems like a terrible amount of fun to me. I've been doing a lot of research, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for websites to look at?

I bought a set of cutting knives and some mastercarve, and I've been doodling designs. I'd like to get a short run of 20-25 of some sort of small landscape, and then work my way into woodcutting eventually.

Any help for the newbie would be most apprecaited.
