Thank you for the invite, doug105! This is cross posted from the pen and ink forum.

I am using a Stillman and Birn Alpha series sketchbook. On the left side of the double page spread is a journal of sorts, where I keep a weekly mood log (cartoon faces), a visual sunrise and weather log, and a daily gratitude list. On the right side of the double spread is my daily, from life sketches for the week, using the prompts from the Everyday Matters list. I like doing this because it gets me to try and draw things that I would usually not choose to draw.

Thank you KiwiKate and John!

Week 5. I used up every bit of patience on drawing the chair. I found it extremely challenging! I am also finding it challenging to interpret objects in life to pen and ink. It's a challenge I am enjoying, but often find myself perplexed!

They look great. I can see why the chair was so complex.

Uh oh, I know all about terrible headaches, as Ive suffered chronic Migraine headaches for years. I really know how you feel.
Im just recovering from an eye operation last week, which the Specialists thinks will help my headaches - I hope it does.:crossfingers: So Im just easing my way slowly back into Moderator duties slowly until I have full vision again.

All credit too you for sketching when you aren't well! Your sketches are lovely and so neat and tidy!

You have some of the nicest pen and ink drawings I've seen in quite awhile. Simply elegant! That no doubt is the result of years of hard work and practice! Sorry you were feeling poorly. I also have severe Osteo Arthritis. Some day's it is all I can do to drag myself out of bed. The artwork helps to take my mind off the pain. I hope this note finds you well. As Always, Deb Hill

I wish my penmanship was as -purdy- as hers! I'd spend my time penning party and wedding invitations! She clearly has spent a lot of time with pen and ink!

Another nice group of sketches since I last checked in. Your style is nice and crisp without appearing stiff - a nice pleasing result to my eye!

Oh, thank you all for the wonderful and encouraging comments! *blush, blush* I have to confess that I haven't kept up on this project because life got in the way, but am looking forward to resuming it soon. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Roxane, don't let that get you down. These past couple of months I haven't been posting as much, but I've been sketching. I find the Art Journals forum really supportive, so keep going (I'll post my sketches that I've done so far this month in a bit).
