View Full Version : I actually let the Universe help me!

I'm posting this here because I remember from The Artist's Way, how hard it can be sometimes to recognize and accept ways the Universe it trying to support our creative work.

I wrote the story just now on my weblog. (http://radio.weblogs.com/0120691/) I've been struggling so much with photographing my new bowls. Aargh! Lots of frustrations - which I haven't tolerated well. Just the other day I yelled "ok, Universe, if you want me to keep making these (expletive deleted) bowls, you're going to have to HELP me!"

Well, today the Universe tried again, and this time (for once) I accepted. Just "by chance" I found a camera lens that fits my old camera, that will enable me to make sharp closeup detail slides. Just "by chance" I recognized that this was exactly what I needed. Just "by chance" it was still for sale, at a great price.

And I bought it! I'm really excited - partly looking forward to using it, partly because I actually let myself be helped. This is something to celebrate!

Cathy,

This is really cool that you opened your eyes and let the universe help you. As Julia Camerson says, you have to say yes to the universe or it will pass you right by.

Congrats on the synchronicity and good luck with the photos!

If you say you cannot know (or that you 'never' know), at least you know that much--

--so you know something, after all!

Cathy,

I was excited reading your thread title!!! I can relate to the whole Universe push/pull thing :D

Only thing I disagree with -- someone said:

As Julia Camerson says, you have to say yes to the universe or it will pass you right by.
Well, I'm not the fastest learner, yet the Universe has never passed me by yet. Rather, the Universe and my Creator seem tolerant of my failings and continue working with me all the time, just like with you and your bowls!!!!!!!

Kali -- haven't run into you in so long. It's wonderful to find you're still here. I don't spend much time in Abstract anymore and I've missed your work :crying: :crying: :crying:

Cathy,

Good for you for recognizing an opportunity to receive what you needed.

1Chameleon, I could give you a thousand examples of synchronicity. It's usually tiny moments that string together to change the direction of your life. They are usually just so ordinary that we don't see how mighty they were until much later.

Keep it up Cathy !
