Those are both really nice, definitely have a lot of colour! Can you tell us about the method used? I'm always curious about the artist's approach.

Sorry I didn't take part in the last challenge, I have been such a slacker for quite a few months now. I really need to get back into it.

I manged to get something done. This is from a photo I took years ago of some veggies from my garden. I was going to try to loosen up with this one lol. Well, the initial drawing was looser, and that broccoflower is pretty loose. I almost gave up on that. I think I did manage to step away from realism a bit.

The important thing here is that it's colourful. And good practice.

Procreate on iPad 3.

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/29-Jan-2016/42008-FRUIT_BOWcolor_challengeL.jpeg So I started on the bowl of fruit, not attempting to be particularly detailed, but it got more detailed than I planned on.
Done in Artrage, started with wet oils, I then, of course, did a lot of blending with the palette knife, (those of you who know me, know I use the palette knife a lot) then I airbrushed complementary colors in the shadows.

Very nice Elaine, wonderful colours and good use of complimentaries. This is more like how I planned to paint. We can't seem to control ourselves lol.

Beautiful Elaine. It happens that we plan to stay loose but end up blending. :-D
