Only took about an hour and a half, I only had to paint a third of the Vixen.
Most of the time was spent faffing around with the condensation cone, still not quite right. We used to see it quite a lot at sea, if we weren't too busy to look out board!.

Should do it as before and after - see if the gull does what gulls do best!

Great idea Jim, well executed . I've seen a photo of a Vixen wrapped in vapour just like that. Great to see in reality , I remember a Scimitar at a wet Lossie Air Day pulling about the same - fearsome!

The gull is an Albatross, so it too does very well what gulls do best, although in this case it might have the same effect as Reheat!.

Another winner that would look good as a larger scale painting :)

Thank you both. I don't do many 'large' paintings much now, unless it is commissioned.
They take up too much room, cost too much to frame and are costly to pack and post, especially abroad. I don't do it for a living, so I have lots of paintings in the house stored away. My Afternoon Adventures as I call them are ideal, they just live in the pad. They are easier to sell (cost less, cost less to package and send and cost the customer less to frame).
Most paintings I sell are due to posting on maritime websites. This suits me fine as ships and the sea are my main interest, with Naval a/c second.
Two of my painting are published today on an E book. They are front and back cover on a book about a famous Admiral's diaries as a Midshipman in WW2 ( no title, that would be advertising)
