I used Gimp for the water surface, sand and caustics. Krita was used for the three globes.

wow sword, seems good. And thanks for the info.

Here are my strawberries, not a new one.

Great reflections on both paintings. The strawberries look so much like the photo it's hard to tell the difference. :)

Here are my marbles - also an old one.

Maria, Thanks for taking on the challenges again. I think it's great to get people to work outside their comfort zone a little and try something different.

But for me, it turned out to be returning to something I did a few weeks ago. I preparing for the class I teach, i was painting marbles like crazy, using selections and layers.

Looking back at what I did a few weeks ago, I thought I'd try a little feathering on the selections, but now I'm thinking that wasn't such a good idea. But the challenge was reflections and there are some reflections in my piece, so here it is.

After doing my marbles I got involved in my old "go to" subject of rocks and water. I have been observing and photographing rocks just below the surface and finally getting the nerve to actually paint them. Far from there on the rocks under water, but I've got some reflections.
Here's my attempt at reflections in the water.

C&C's always welcome

Wow Barb and Elaine. Barb I really like your glass vase.

Elaine, your rocks and water are lovely. Love the leaves too.

Now a days I can't get enough time to paint being a busy mother of an infant and a toddler, sometimes we spend sleepless nights. But happy to be mom.:)

I have one son and can't imagine dealing with two. lol Especially infant and toddler. I hope you are able to get some time to yourself.
