That looks really good, love the greens in the foliage.

Great view of a beautiful machine. I could be wrong, but the horizontal stab maybe a little too flat. If you look at a line joining the wheels, it would suggest the horizontal stabs are drooping. Still, it should be a nice piece.

Already looking very tidy. I can see the sky is shaping up to be a tropical storm and the foliage looks spot on.

bit more of the background done over the week

Looking good,i like the colours, in the UK at the moment anything brighter than grey drizzle/sleet at the moment is nice LOL :) [looks outside and shivers :( ] .
I assume the corsair has made a steep approach landing dropping in straight down over the line of trees or are the trees running parallel?
We have a Corsair that flies just up the road from me ,what an awesome aircraft :)

That is a beautiful backdrop for your Corsair. The dark blue sky is very powerful and yes, agree with Trumper, a bit of tropical colour makes a nice change from drizzle and murk.

Stb wheel is larger than the port wheel
The wing insignia is badly out of shape
12-04-2015, 11:42 PM
Hi Gollum see the Stb wheel now, the insignia on the NZ corsairs where indented so it looks crap here is a decal of one. http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg579/longforgan/V3282-2015_zps8n8qs9jm.jpgoriginala_zps6qizqiev.jpg (http://s1244.photobucket.com/user/longforgan/media/V3282-2015_zps8n8qs9jm.jpgoriginala_zps6qizqiev.jpg.html)

I always find roundels to be such a pain to get right on the angle. Corsairs looking good though.

Which is the correct colour--the top one looks better:) Another good work :)

Just realised .......
There is no insignia under the (port - left) wing on FAA aircraft
It's on top of that wing
12-23-2015, 09:44 AM
Royal New Zealand AIR FORCE, Lenny, they also flew 'The Bent Winged ' thingmies!.
While on about Air Forces, I didn't realise that the RAF never bombed the Japanese Home Islands. Never really thought about it, but I stand to be corrected.

I guess the couldn't decide which way to do it so did loads of markings just for the hell of it :)
12-23-2015, 02:48 PM
Len the Kiwis had the insignia on the underside of both wings unlike the Americans. You did make me double check it though.
