Thanks greggo. I'm really working on my mark. I know that is the truest form of my art. I am hoping that as i switch from subject to representational to non representational that it won't matter and the paint will speak for itself. It's not an easy journey. Ya, I started seven this week. I'm very ambitious.
This is the abstract sister painting to this one....

Same size. Same palettes. Same day.
Just abstracted and all about the response to paint.
I'm indifferent to what I prefer. I'm hard in myself and get so annoyed when things get stiff. But the paint is interesting I think.

You do great things. You seem to be in full control of your technique, both in representational and abstract. There's strength and vibrancy in both and, yup, it's great.

Both lovely!

Haha! Yes, I'm familiar with that, only with me the reason that I have lots of paintings on the go at one time is due to being easily distracted! I start one piece and then think of other ideas and start a second, then a third, etc.

Both are very good, but I really groove on that first one because to me it captures the very essence of the rose. Keep those paintings coming - you are ambitious to do 7 in a week!

In the picture with the roses, I am enthralled how you use color, hue and saturation constrast on top of complimentary colors to let the flowers scream at full strength. Gives me a lot to think about and learn.

Kids are a great way to improve time management (plus, they're cute).
