I like it, it is quite strange in a good way. Also the background looks pretty great as well.

Great background. It really brings the birds forward. I feel like they are all looking at me. lolů.

I like it!

Static
it is static
recalls the classic
http://www.americangothichouse.net/about/the-painting/
this is the worst kind of planned family portrait
every one is stiff and straight
no smiles
no adlibs
recalls the recent debates....

and there-in lies its brilliance as a satire of all of the above
it seems deliberately sarcastic
deliberately "perfect"
deliberately awful

actually made me smile immediately
I like sarcastic art
clever

very very clever

I'm not as excited about this one as I am with some of your other recent works, but it's certainly not terrible art. The key aspect that I miss is a connection to the narrative that must have been present in your mind while creating. I have a feeling it may be strongly associated with the slightly more flamboyant subject second from the right, but not sure.

thanks corfublue

rick, thanks man - ever see disneys cartoon movie 'mowgli' (the jungle book)?
there's a scene with vultures (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGTWmrnPdgk) that pretty much sums up where my head was at whilst painting this. [60 second clip)

anyway, it's gone now, slathered with paint leftovers from last nights class and will be more slathered with leftovers from tonights class. i couldn't stand to look at it anymore.

thanks for your very diplomatic supports

These are whimsical and creative on many levels. The subtleness in the legs to develop personality is well executed.
