Acrylics on canvas, 50x70cm.

Currently, I am in a "random restart" mode of my optimization algorithm... so I am not worrying so much about the result... yet this grew on me quite much.

Let me know what you think.

All the best & happy Sunday,
Daniel

Too experimental for my taste, but what a bold and aggressive painting!

A child on a dinosaur in a playground is how I interpreted this.
Style-wise it is a deepartouor fer u
the blue counterpoints the orange
the dots are a fun effect and seem upbeet
you nailed the expression of displeasure,
it seems as if the critter (that she thought was a sculpture)
suddenly lifted up...almost a Candid Camera moment
the orange painted around her eyes is just strange
yet they seem natural somehow
like she was at a Fair and had face-painting done

Active
bright
dark
odd
funny
and I likes it

Daniel, great expression. Exciting colors. I get the that Vincent's Starry Night has been on your mind lately....

Thanks for your feedback. Very interesting... aggressive in terms of painting technique or in terms of subject?

Great feedback, this is somehow what I had in mind when I started painting it. Initially, my daughter was just sitting on a tree in the reference... not so much thinking of dinosaurs, but I had this LOTR Treebeard moment in mind

The colors of her eyes simply came in, in my current mode I try not to "correct" (i.e., pull things into my comfort zone) too much.

Thanks, man.

HW, hey, thanks. Ugh, now I have that tune of Don McLean stuck in my ear ;) Vincent not so much as Soutine who is on the book shelves often. Thanks again!
