I really like this piece. Good color choices. The only thing I would do is maybe work on the leaves a touch. You nailed the bloom!

Nice!
i might calm the bright lime green stem off the left side of the flower, just a bit because it's trying to compete a little too much with the flower.

terry, I agree with previous comments, maybe tone the lime down a touch. really nice painting. I dare say that it's my favorite of yours so far from what I've seen of your posts to date. well done.

Thank you all, I'm really happy with the way this came out. I first had that stem and leaf bright, I thought as you did that it was stealing attention from the flower so I went over it with darker green but then it was obvious it made the picture less appealing so I brighten it up again. LOL short story I'm going to leave it as is. Thank You all.

Very nicely painted and good composition. I would put some more leaves in those dark areas. Very faintly painted, getting lost in the darks.

I like your suggestion. I will do that.

I redid this painting on a larger canvas. The first one was 14x18 this one is 16x20. My Sister-in-law asked me to paint it for her. I'm going to do another one on a 20x24 canvas for my daughter-in-law's mother so if you see something that doesn't seem right please tell me. I did tone down the highlight on the stem and added more leaves.

its actually very nice. :) If you use more dark blue instead of black, it would bring the colors out further...

Thank you all. This is the third painting I have done of this Lilly. This one was by request and it is on a 20x24 inches (51x61 cm)

Like that ever so subtle light work on the stem, especially the 16 X 20. The flowers are very successful.
