This was done on 11x14 mixed media paper with prismacolor pencils. Drawing it took 30 mins:) and coloring took 2 weeks:eek:

Help! I'm trapped inside a psychedelic tie rack!
Just kidding - good work, great colors.

Very cool, Peter Max is calling and wondering if the sun & rays would look good in yellow? I did a version that way but wont post it unless you say it's ok.

You have done a lot of cool detail and your care shows.

well, 2 weeks is price for nice colored details.
i dont like your 30 minute-drawing work, because lines of the white sun is straightforward. Not harmonious, not elegant. Too forehead.

All that you painted in the colors I like, it's nice, it's beautiful.
Maybe you should also paint the sun, but in a different manner? While it does not look good.

I think your work clearly demonstrates the difference between a two-week painstaking work and a 30-minute sketch.
I like your two-week job.

Thanks. Yea go ahead post yours if its similar. I am planning on doing a black and white one as well. I am not sure why I do not want the sun colored. I just pictured it white and just kept it blank.

The white negative space is what makes this perfect.
adding color would detract from the wunnerful sharp details
IMHO...

This is quite enjoyable

I like it. It reminds me of imperial japan flag, except it's white and peaceful like white doves

But as I said I would post with your permission a version with the sun/rays in yellow.

I like the yellow a lot. I also like the white. I guess I should just do a few more versions:thumbsup:

Thanks! I really need to start taking some of my work in photoshop like you just did when I am unsure of things to see what it could look like. Its something Ive never really thought of doing and I use photoshop daily:confused:

I like this quite a bit. Good composition and action.

And I like it much better without the yellow. The yellow destroys those wonderfully fun colors.
