But I'm working on it. I did this red background so the residents could get involved in a painting. Let them do the "leaves" just daubs of colors of fall, then added the figure. Arm is too long, foot is too small, eyes are too pronounced, so I have my work cut out for me. I've just slathered on some beautiful red paint over areas that need a fixin

You tell the painting who's boss Bev! It just hasn't met your expectations yet. I love the colour combo, one of my favourites, it really works. You may feel that it is dumb just now but it won't take much more to make it sing.

I often have days where things just don't "work" as I would wish, so I sympathise with you...

Dumb, did you see my last effort? Rubbished it. This is coming on really well - Residents? Is this a group work?

A delightful dancer -- I especially like the hands. :)

welp, to fix it, first I slap on that red, then add the daubs, then the blue and gold

I see the angel motifs.
Clever. Impressive.
The most difficult thing is to stop writing this picture. I would be caught up in the details.
Maybe add a little purple for accents?
But I really like, emotionally intelligent work.

Very graceful and divine looking.... I like how you blended the colors into her figure... :)

my daughter is sitting next to me, she was immediately enthralled.

I also enjoy these... I am also very intrigued to see the progression as the mood changes in each incarnation.

In the final version, I feel, if only very faintly, a notion of kitsch as most areas of slight oddity have been "repaired".

Dumb? Nay, not at all. Very reminiscent of certain frescos from good ol' Pompeii.
