I am not a golfer and the title Stymied is an archaic term for being absolutlely stumped/in a pickle/what now etc etc. This is the final phase of my previous work and based on a leisure activity my wife and I plus many friends world wide do as well. On the piece are several markings and words which will mean something to other hashers. But I felt I could rework the disaster adding large darks and a few blobs. I am now happy with it.

I am so glad that you are happy, at the end of the day it is your opinion of your work that matters the most!

Thanks. It may get painted over again, it's not precious.

Every painting is a journey and for some reason the artist seems to remember the path taken best. Painting over? Cover your tracks my friend...

Cheers Dave and On On if you know what that means.

I like it and will come back to it.

Thanks Joe, don't worry about that.

I have absolutely no idea what you are referring to, but I could never order breakfast in Canada either without getting unexpected foods....
It has a certain captivating interest, almost organic
almost rigid and mechanical
and literate, I see letters

Thanks Dave and Greggo. The words ON ON are called during every Hash event to give clues to slower hashers (running) finding the trail which is usually laid with blobs of white flour.

This painting doesn't exist any more, neither the one under it. Both now under Cornish Roofs and I am glad I ditched it and painted over.

I see a blueprint for extraterrestrial crop circles ;)
A pity that this is already painted over... it is free and daring, and sparks many questions and areas of wonder.

Gosh! Really Daniel, thanks

Definitely, absolutely one of the best I've seen coming from your end!

Having seen Cornish roofs, I really think the paint over is a great success - maybe you should show it here as well

This is the paint over of the above title as I was sorely dissapointed with it.
It is the 3rd overpainting in fact and now titled "Cornish Roofs"
Using previous marks and shapes this evolved.
Thanks Laf for the idea of reposting in here

ah I really like this. I probably would have given it best of show if it had been in one of those I juried.
Nice ! Colors and composition are very pleasing.
I love to"rework the disasters" and some of my favorite pieces have come from doing just that.
