and a feather

all in an S&B alpha sketchbook

and an oil version of the poppy seedheads in book with hand made paper (all very lovely with its leather cover but a nightmare to work in with most media!)

The bluish cast on 1 and 3 arrived when I transferred from the ipad to the PC - not sure why

Thank you everyone :)

I also drew that cardoon on the sketch pad app Doug. I went to a demo by someone painting on the ipad, using the Brushes app, which she had paid 50 for - It barely did anything that can't be done on the much cheaper ones, at least as she used it.

These are all so beautiful, Vivien. I love your style. The feather is exquisite. Every now and then you do something spectacular like that. I can practically touch it, the detail and textures are wonderful.

An unfinished demo from a one day workshop I taught yesterday on autumn stuff in mixed media .... Watercolour and cps just a dried up thistle that someone brought in.

Great subject Viv. Takes an artist to see the beauty in the small , supposedly insignificant things. Love it.

Oh, didn't see that last one! I love how you can use wild loose effects to get a tight detailed rendering, my hat's off to you!
