Please give an honest critique I'm trying hard to improve and need advice.

I'll just mention colors and their compliments for use in shadows

if you look at a color wheel, any color directly opposite a color is the compliment

yellows compliment is purple, so the shadows in something yellow should have purple mixed with the yellow to make a 'purply brown' for the shadow

oranges compliment is on the blue side of things so the shadow on the orange 'ground' of your painting, for example, 'should' have more blues in it

Thank you for your feed back. Yes I totally agree with you that shadows should be a mix of the compliment colors...but also in this case we have a reflection of the green stems in the vase so I kind of compromised.
