OK I began drawing in this sketchbook in 2011 but most of the first drawings are copies of other artists' works.

This week I drew this tower at the Besanšon's Citadel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citadel_of_Besanšon). I went there twice : I drew the main lines last sunday and I went back there to add tone and shadows this morning. I also began another drawing this morning but the wind up there was so chilly that I decided to call it a day. Planning to get back there with warmer clothes soon.

Black ink pen + grey brush pen.

Beautiful sketch! Love the grey shadows, that's beautiful. Plenty of depth and perspective here.

Robert : I just read a booklet about perspective applied to on-site sketching and I tried to use what I read there :)

Nice sketch of the citadel. It looks so filled with light....more please.
