View Full Version : Experiments - and revenge - in mixed media

This is something I posted on my blog. I figured I'd put it up her and see what you peeps think.
Since I was home suffering with a terrible cold, I decided to get the watercolors, inks and various other media out to do some experiments. It was one way to keep the brain working.
This is an image of someone I recently saw in an overpriced food mart. I say "saw", but actually "heard" would be the operative word. He was speaking incredibly loudly into his earbud mic; my friends and I could hardly hear each other.
I decided to get my revenge by doing a piece inspired by him.

As always, C& C welcome!

Well done! There's a line from the film "Knight's Tale", where Chaucer says - "I will eviscerate you in fiction. Every pimple, every character flaw. I was naked for a day; you will be naked for eternity". Maybe we could change "fiction" to "paint"!

this makes no sense to me, but not much does.
when a painting needs explanation I will always be eager to listen

Because of my age and non-hipsterness
often references go over my head
especially musical references

so I will jes say Howdy!
and keep enjoying the Arts
