Are you lonesome tonight
Get rid of your suspicious mind
You consume crap never eat right
You left your blue suede shoes behind

Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare
Do you gaze at my abstract and see only hair
Are you crying tonight
Can you turn black to white

Did no one tell you at school
That wolves are alright
That in America money rules
Tell me dear are you lonesome tonight

THAT is why I love this forum. People here have a sense of humour!

Greggo, no problem. You're welcome. Did you laff before or after coffee?
Yup, money talks and sh.. walks everywhere. Drorn and yours truly came to this conclusion earlier in this thread...
Only in America makin' it is a fine science. Other jurisdictions are full of amateurs.
Have a good one,

Thank you kindly, Mihaela!
Btw, acrylics on board, just about 15"X12".

I like the poem a LOT. The painting is for me a bit scattered, sort of all over the place. Maybe I need to study it some more. Very interesting colors.

shows ta go ya. You can break all the rules and if it works, it just works in spite of that fact. Wish I could remember the name of the artist who's work reminds me of this piece. But he does the same thing. Works in mixed shapes, values, colors and pulls the whole dang thing together.

Hey Bev, I'll reveal a little secret: I was looking at some stuff by Wayne Mok (please check him out). Although much of his stuff is quite different, somehow it made me do this piece.
Susan, appreciate your point of view. Thanks.

Btw, it was so funny and pretty amazing that Greggo mentioned Elvis (in another thread: Why I like THIS forum, if I'm not wrong). I thought, heck is this guy hacking my brain?!?... Fact is, I was watching Elvis' incredible Out of Hawaii concert last night! I love the way he mumbled fumbled that Are You Lonesome Tonight. Hence the poem...

Wayne Mok, only a couple of pieces that resonated with me, but I like yours much better. If I can get this guy's name to come to mind you'll see what I mean...James...? Saw his work first in Southwest Art, I believe.
