Not sure why but my first impression was a powerful

The first one starts me to think of an isolated moment in the Holi Festival Of Colors In India.
This seems like a strong departure from any La trademarks and a good push at abstraction!

The second one has more immediate emotional impact for me - stormy and dangerous - but the first one ticks all the other boxes for me. Most importantly, I haven't seen anything like it before and it has some ambiguity/mystery that keeps me looking.

Absolutely adore the colors in the first one, the composition, great. Second one I am not sure yet, but I'll come back.
Number 1: Something important and exciting was streaking across the sky and then stopped on a dime. Really good color design, too. I love the dripping or stringy violet.
Number 2: A vortex.
I like both of them, but the first particularly grabbed my attention.

The colour combo in the first really works for me. I am not so sure about the second one but I will wait and see when you re photograph it.

Both are very cool.... I like the downward left to right movement in the 2nd picture. :)

Looks like a good recipe to me! When are we eating?
'better' pic of the second one.
it seems 'heavy' on top so i flipped it over

Much better idea of colours with this photo. I also like it much more now.
I liked the orientation in the first photo though.

I like them both as originally posted. Second one seems a little more predictable. But either way I like them both

Both beautiful but I go for the second.

The left one has a feeling of movement away from the viewer and the right one towards the viewer. The right hand one feels, for me, stronger.

I like them both. But the second one is my favorite! So much drama and emotions!
thanks chaya, 'drama and emotions', glad it provokes that =)

Lovely. Don't know why but I see the first one as a vertical and the second reversed top to bottom. Love the colours.
