I can see where this has influence from Twombly, but you have made it your own. An interesting piece.

Thanks nice to hear from you again, yes this site is valuable for learning about other artists / techniques. I enjoyed my doodling on a canvass i did 6 months ago ,, was fun, and strangely satisfying.

As an exercise once, we had to do a Twombly-inspired drawing in class in 30 minutes or less. I was very difficult to accomplish! Being that loose and childlike is hard when you are tight and adultlike.

I think you would have gotten an A+ on this. Love the choice of colors!

Love this Joe. I really like the colour and the messages, though I'm indifferent about the naughts and crosses. It's a very striking piece. Looks big, what size?

I like this very much except for the dead center triangle. I really like the richness of the reds and the mark making, especially those fine lines that cut to the chase.

Hi Bev thnks for the comments, but do you remember i posted this painting last april and you said it looked like a background scene for a stage. After a while i agreed with you, so thought it would be good to doodle on it, after the discussion about Twombly.

It's very small, 20 cm by 30 cm. thanks guys for lookin.

yes, and you filled the stage with actors. But the star of the show is upstaging everyone else and the bit characters are much more interesting than she.
Now is she were part of a chorus line I think it would work mobettah. :-)
