MY COMMENTS:
Mayahuel, Aztec Goddess of the Pulque and Fertility

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Hi! I am about to call it "done" but I need feedback (my dog loves it). I painted Mayahuel to participate for the first time in an exhibit and at the same time to bring some fertility to my sister's life. I want to know if it needs more shadow/light work in your opinion, what it makes you think of, what feelings it brings to you, what you think of the use of color and in general if you think it is "Exhibit worthy". It is only a cel phone picture, but your thoughts will be truly appreciated. I can still fix it before I go public! Thanks!

Good use of color. My main crit is that all elements are contained within the boundaries of the painting. Creates a very static composition.

Thanks!!! I agree. I guess I got caught with the aztec codes "look" which I did want to bring to mind

I think Aztec art was a lot like this, so I don't see a problem with it being "static". I think overall, it looks very Aztec, and I think that is the point. :)
