I received another pet commission yesterday so I pushed the people portraits to the so and made a start to old pup today.

She is a dearly departed family member and will be a gift so I hope I am doing the old girl justice!

Thank you both Lisa and Charles! every time I do a dog portrait I think I get just that little bit better at them ... the process is so much fun and its so nice to reflect back over the months that I have been at it with the pastels!

This one is done and dusted! will be framed later this week and then off to his family who were very happy with the progress yesterday (more tears ... its the emotional part of this I wasn't prepared for!)
