This paintings is from an image in Madmum's library images, I've had this image for well over 10 years and I actually started this painting more than 10 years ago...I am having a Wildlife Exhibition and I am Artist in Residence, so I pulled it out and completed it.

The lighting is stunning and your handling of the medium is outstanding.

They look so downy - beautifully handled!

Great painting. As to the 10 years, been there, done that. I actually started a fish tank mural in my former home. After two years and the fish were swimming without water, I gave up and sanded down and painted the wall. Pam

Brilliant! I can't decide what I like more - the water or the ducks. What you did with the light on the water surface is fascinating. Even without the birds, I would still love to see the painting on the wall of my apartment :)

May I ask what supplies you used and how large the painting is?

I rarely go onto another painting before I finished the last one, obviously I haven't painted in more than 10 years. I know it's terrible...but I have many things happening in my life that come before my art.

I do't know exactly right now, but I would say about 400 mm H x 600 mm W or 16 in x 24 in. All done with Faber Castell pastels.
