You might have thought this will be a P-51 piece by the title. Another auto work, this is a small acrylic sketch to be worked up to a larger pastel. I will get back to aviation subjects again, I keep promising myself anyway.

I like that one, Norbert. Having owned a couple of Mustangs, a 68 for 32 years, and a Fox body Cobra, they're one of my favorite cars. Drive- ins were a way of life when I was a young man.

Thanks Gray! Further progress on the large pastel. The piece is proving to be a challenge when it comes to cutting the intricate frisket masks for all the details on the car and the background. It helps to keep the frisket film aside in order to replace each piece once any given part of the pastel has been rendered. A lot of work but worthwhile in the end. As with any pastel piece, there is always a lot of burnishing with stomps. The smaller acrylic study can be seen at the top.

Love the drive-in scene, Norbert. Looks like a good size drawing.

Nice picture, all you need now is to sell it for a price that would allow you to buy one!.

Looks great, Norbert. You just can't go wrong with a drive in scene. Today's youth have no idea what they're missing.
