Qualicum Beach BC we are having a smoke event due to forest wires inland....we awoke to this sky....Beach Day Sandra mans a booth I help set up then paint
I have to think about the values on a rare day like this 18 x 24" Canson

That large, quiet sky is a nice contrast to the activity on the ground, Dan. Beautiful interpretation of the day! Hopefully those fires are under control now.

Once again, you've made lemonade out of lemons! I agree with Donna.

I love the colors you added to the beach, and your hordes of people are very convincing. Beautiful painting with such an air of festivity!

Great beach scene Dan, and your interpretation is so much more pleasing to the eye than the reality of the scene, especially with a smoke filled, hazy sky...

I like this a lot. Beaches here in NJ are all sand, no rocks. Interesting to see your photo. I get the sense that you really enjoyed painting this and had fun with colors. Pam
