I recently subscribed to a art instruction site! It's really,really good...I think so anyways.
The very first time I used soft pastel was a you-tube on waves and I nailed it with no problems here's that result...

Well here's a study on varying your strokes to create texture and space.
It's not quite finished but I had to post I'll post the finished painting asap.

I used Canson 140lb C.p watercolor paper and Rembrandt artists pastel and a few Mount Vision for the darks.

I almost forgot the site I'm referring to is called...The virtual art instructor.com it's a great system easy to understand and great results with me anyways!

Excellent Jay!

I've watched a few online workshops at artistsnetwork.tv. Not only helpful for instruction and learning new techniques, but I sometimes find art videos useful to get me out of a rut...

Great work. I am addicted to YouTube art videos but I think I've seen them all so I should consider the site you mentioned. Pam :wave:
