Thank you for looking in.
20 X 16 on panel. Again the sky (reflected), river and trees.
Enjoyed painting these river scenes.

Haha, love the title. The painting has a great design overall, you found strong simple shapes and patterns, different from the typical horizontal thing going on in so many landscape paintings.

David, thank you. That 25% of the painting took 75% of the work.
Marigold, I had not thought about that, but I see what you mean. I'll try to maintain that kind of design sense in the future. Thank you for the insight.

Color me green with envy - I wish I could do that and do it that well.

Definitely a happy, smiley painting.

I love the color in the water. The saturated colors in the top balances the attention from the ducks in the strong diagonal, making an solid composition. Great!

The water is really excellent, Cliff. Nice reflections and depth. Good painting.

This is great Cliff. Terrific work on the water which has excellent depth and gentle movement. Love that title.

Mike, thank you. Keep painting, keep posting your work. Mix twice as much color as you think you'll need, then mix some more. Estimate the size brush you will use, then grab a bigger one. Play. You'll get there.
Margaret, thank you. I'm glad you like the painting and even more pleased you find it happy.
Fede, thank you. I like my paintings to have movement and I'm glad you found some in the composition.
Colin, Michelle, Chammi, thank you. I appreciate feedback from everyone of course, but recognition from people I think of as established artists is especially nice.

Karebear, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback.
Maureen, thank you. I have been practicing a wee bit. I'm going to step out of that style for a while. It will be interesting to see what you think of it.

.......because men don't know how to ask :D
Cliff, I like the minimalistic style. It pops and tells a story.

Beautiful and serene, lots of nice shapes in the composition. :)

Carol, Thank you for both thoughtful comments.
Stapeliad, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I think the serenity comes from all the blues and greens. I'm gonna have to start using more reds and oranges before I start putting people to sleep.
Maybe some desert scenes.
