I like the muted colours in this. Might be an idea to do it on paper with transparent acrylic? Nice one.

Thanks, I was thinking of doing a study in watercolor but I just couldn't get my head around the transparency. Maybe I'll give it a go.

hard to leave things be sometimes isn't it
i think you had a little more vastness, a little more elegance, with the first one
that being said, it could be just my fear of color saying that, the second on is still cool, just seems more grounded, heavier

I think you are right La, I'm not liking the flame-like part on the right, I think I should have been toning it down instead.

IMO the second is much better... not so jarring. I think with the right frame and the right gallery, its sold.

Wow Dennis, thanks!! Im not too satisfied it, although there is a lot that I do like.

I think next time I will tone down (chroma down?) on the orange and yellow just to play up on the mist effect, I think that will make it a bit more subtle.

I'm not sure that it comes out in the photos but I really like the blacks through the center.

Anyway, thanks again.

Aww - I loved the original version, with its lovely colour harmony. The new colours don't do anything for me, I'm afraid.
The tiny spots of red and yellow over on the right in version 1 were delicious and intriguing - in version 2 it's all too obvious.

Are you done with this now?

Yep, all done.

Thanks for the feedback, next time I'll keep it subtle. It was really breaking up the solid blue on the left that I wanted to do, just got carried away, lol.

Nice ones. Good strong pieces. I think this one could use just a break in that long path of white, but I like all of them. First ones best, but I think there is a camera glare on the redo that dulls all of the colors

Different views of the same piece.
