Todays WIP ... I haven't drawn a dog in over 20 years, and even then it wasn't a subject that I enjoyed drawing ... but a friend asked me to draw her big fluffy Shepard for her ... and then I got asked to draw a Husky by some one else ... so I thought it was about time I became more familiar with canine curves!
Lots to do still ... but he isn't coming together to badly ... I need to play with my values a little more in the black and I also need to sit back and check that I have all the black bits in the right place ... but it certainly is coming together better than I first thought it would LOL

Your values and color are off to a good start! The eyes may be a touch too close together-

Hit a major speed bump today that threw the wheels off my "Mitch" project and careering off into a tree, head on ... resurrection was no longer an option ... in short ... he was stuffed *sigh* .... so what does one do? one starts all over again ... double *sigh* ... However second time over ... I think Mitch actually is starting to look like Mitch!!! Wooo Hooo
Now this has only had 3 hours in it and I NEED to fix up the ears ... but much happier with how this one is turning out

Wow! Three hours? You've accomplished so much! Before you proceed, check the angle of the nose against the angle of the eyes. Adjust that and you are back on track.

 I had to Karen ... I was horrified that I wasted almost a whole day on the train wreck (the first one) ... Thanks for the advice on the nose, I hope ive fixed it now, but if you still see issues sing out!
So much happier with how the boy is finally coming together ... I still have to work more on his ears, on his colour and I need to add a bit more chest hair ... but for the most part I think he is shaping up well
