I asked another poster the other day about how he kept his paper so clean and complimented him on his amazing work and he shared a YouTube link of him creating one of his pieces .... Wowsers! I picked up so many little techniques/tips ... all silly little things I should have known already ... I couldn't wait to put them into practise today and I think they are already making a HUGE difference in my work!
So todays WIP is referenced from a photo I took years ago of a Paint Mare we owned named "Cherry Pie" (Cherry for short) ... The piece is being done on A3 Canson paper and im using pastel pencils. I'm around 5 hours in so far ... Very happy for C & C :D

Whooppee - only thing better than WIP is a paint horse WIP! (horse wip - get it??) My fav horses too! Great job! Only thing I would suggest is to soften the mane hair - smudge it soft and don't try to do every strand

Yes, my favourite breed as well Melinda (the other girl I painted that you commented on is also a Paint ... she just doesn't have any white patches) ... Thanks for the tip ... Ive been trying not to "smudge" with my last few pieces ... I seem to get carried away and before I know it I have lost all my hard lines LOL
