Hello everybody,
I got back on the Wetcanvas wagon the other day and actually this weekend I got some of my art supplies out and worked on some pages in different sketch books.

My artistic jouney started in 2006, but over the last couple of years art and creating was on the back burner. Just last night I realized how much I actually missed it.

My goals are not very high for the moment. Actually nothing put to paper. Just the desir to create again on a fairly daily basis.

This doodle was done in a A5 sketchbook with very thin white paper.

The follow sketch was done in colored pencil into a altered book I started a while ago.

This douple page shows on the left side the back of a page where I just kept a citation. The doodle on the right side - well, just a doodle.

I hope to get back into more sketching over the next days/weeks.

Glad to see your work. I can't imagine being away from sketching for any amount of time. I hope you find time to continue.

Thanks, DrDebby and Joan T!
I am off to a good start. Just need to decide what I post here and how often I will post.
The reasons for putting art on the back burner were multiple. It feels so good to be back.

One question though: Is this the right place to post mixed media and more abstract things? I just bought a art journal that would be perfect for mixed media.

It's an Art Journal forum. Mixed media is fine. Abstracts are fine. Looking forward to seeing what you create. :)

Thanks, DrDebby for answering my questions.

Here a page, that I also posted at this weeks Scavenger Hunt post (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20504178&postcount=23)

Lots of mistakes, lots of room for learning. :wink2:

But, I did a little sketch every day since Monday. :music:

The only way to improve is practice. You are doing great.

Nice job on the sketches. Like all of us here, practice is the only way to improve. Good ellipses on the bottle and good work on the hand.
