14x20 acrylic on masonite. Most of it done plein air and a wee bit in studio.
One day process.
Cheers, Derek

One Day? That would take me several. I must be doing something wrong. Beautiful work!

A lot of colors seem to sneak in here and there. I like that. Nicely complements the usual flawless rendition of the scene.

That is a lot of painting to accomplish in one day.

Dang, Derek! :P

My fav. Bits are the fence shadows and the violet peripherals on the tree tops.

Strong stuff, especially for a day!

Wow... This would have taken me years  I love it, I think those violets work really well to pull together the blues and reds of the building. Lovely

Very kind you and thanks.
My old illustrator days years ago, helped to develop a speedy painting process. I used to have to meet tight deadlines.

A delightful work that I find very nostalgic. My grandparents had a great barn which is now collapsed. Had many good hours in that barn.

Charming and magical.

Cindy, thank you.
Hey Sid buddy.
Howard: I am fortunate in this part of the Jersey Penn. area to have tons of barns around. I love them too.

Thanks to all, Derek

Yes, the contrast between the crisply done barn and the background trees is excellent.

Really nice work! I'm like the others, it would take days to do something like that. Really interesting barn too.

Markie and Michelle thanks a lot.
This farm raises black angus cows. They are beautiful in the snow.

Fantastic Derek. You have nailed the look of painted red wood in the sunlight.

Sigh.... I could look at this for quite some time and still find new things to admire. Beautifully done. It reminds me of my own red barn. :)

I think this is my favourite painting of yours Dcam.
