OBX Gull...Atelier Interactive, 38 x 58 on canvas, from provided photos. The photo doesn't show it, but there is a lot of texture and knife work, along with tons of glazes with Atelier Universal Medium. Calling it Done & Delivered - yeah!

But of course, there's at least 10,000 more things I'd like to do or change. I did like painting the bird - may do more of them, like Jamie Wyeth's seagulls (http://artdaily.com/news/32826/Jamie-Wyeth-Seven-Deadly-Sins-Exhibition-to-Open-at-Brandywine-River-Museum-#.VW263s9Viko) in his Deadly Sins series. (Google these to see all of them). I saw the originals at his retrospective in Boston last year and they are still haunting me.

C&C welcome!

This is great. I love the texture. And it is huge......
It would make me nervous having a bird that large hanging in my living room :wink2:

Jenn: wonderful use of the brush my friend. Lovely. I like this unusual composition as well.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

I have to confess something about the composition. This painting will be hanging in a bathroom, and I designed it so when you look in the mirror, the bird is pecking your head. I was tempted to make him look meaner, but a beak in the skull is good enough for me.

Great work. I really like the colours in the sand & grasses.

Would be odd to see an image of a bird hammering my head in the mirror. Interesting idea.

I really like this, looks very lively for what is normally a serene scene.
If you get fed up with the head bashing Jennifer, I'll send you my postal address.

That's funny! Too bad I can't do something like that in my bathroom, don't have a wall in the right place lol.
