We'll I was totally "feeling" my last landscape that I dared a evening cityscape! For the first time I might add.
It was challenging because the paper held me back in its inability to layer enough in places.
But this is what I got from a step by step demo by Peter Coombs. I can't even tone down the left-hand foreground building. But overall I'm pleased with it!

I almost forgot I used Strathmore pastel paper series 400 with Rembrandt and Selinelier and Mount Vision pastels 9"x12".

Very cool! I like the dark building, it works well. That need to layer is what makes many pastelists love sanded papers. I layer a lot more on sanded rather than unsanded papers.

this has a lovely mood , and sense of place .

some evacotive results using the light from the lamp and the moon
on the large masses of the buildings !
