That is what the architectural designer calls it. My friend designed most of the structures at the Roma Street Parklands in the City.

Pen and watercolour on DrawMaster watercolour paper 9"x12" sketch pad 140lb/300gsm cp

This structure sit at the end of a boardwalk in the lake Precinct. You can shelter under her from the sun, and watch the wildlife. Birds, flying fish, turtles..

This is the view from the other side to the one I sketched. I was standing beside that big cone shaped tree. :)

I guess it is designed for shade...not necessarily architectural beauty...and no thought at all to how difficult the shape and perspective would be to sketch. lol

Oh, Joan, I think it is incredibly beautiful. I really love that structure, and the reflection in the water when the sun is right are amazing. :)
