The story Bridge. It is a cantilever Bridge, commissioned in 1935, to help with employment during the depression. The bridge took 5 years to build. I have climbed to the top of the bridge, in a twilight tour. Magnificent sight, to see the city all lit up as the sun goes down.
(note to self, make sure ink it totally dry before erasing anything. I smeared the ink on the top right of the bridge)

Riverbar Kitchen is an fabulous place to eat and drink. Great views of the river, and those wonderful yellow and white umbrellas stand out for sure. Just begged to be sketched..

Thank you so much for looking and commenting.

 Joan. It was awesome climbing up there. It wasn't really that hard, and after the climb, I went to the Dr complaining of a sore ankle. It as broken. :D So, if I can climb that bridge with a broken ankle, anyone can climb it

JJ, your sketches always seem so adventurous. Well, really, your whole life does. Climbing that bridge would have killed me. I love the umbrellas on the restaurant sketch. They always seem so inviting, and you caught that perfectly.

Thank you Glynda, I am happy with the umbrella sketch. I will do that again sometime too. So many angles one can sit there..

Lovely. This made me look into sketching groups in my city, and sure enough there is one. I will join their next sketch crawl next Saturday.

Good for you Shannon. It really is a lot of fun. Most major cities now have an Urban Sketching Group.

yes, apparently the Edmonton one was just officially named a local chapter. It has been meeting since 2011 though.
