This is 11 x 17 on the back of this:

((my friend works for Hallmark and saves this kind of stuff for me to paint on))

I painted 'lightly' for about 40-45 minutes and changed a bunch of little things:

Then to keep with the challenge, I added some inking (I always do that backwards, I know it should ink first and then paint....must be a left handed thing!)

Due to the mechanics in here hair (she is part BORG for those that are Star Trek fans) and the fact that her face is pale and somewhat odd, I thought I'd share a few close- ups of the fun I had with the ink....

So yaaaaaaaa, the title came to me as I was inking her hair and I realized she was not of this earth, but neither is the bust sooooo....it was fun! Total time was just a smidge over 2 hours

Love the lines and the colors -- you had fun! And I'm left-handed and paint first too!

Nice color Valri, It's fun to zoom in on this just to watch all the color mixes in there.

This is lovely! Without the close-up images, one would have missed out the wonderful lineworks. Beautiful fluid colours and lines. This is a favourite.

Complicated and impressive line work over a strong foundation. Job well done.

I really love this one. I am so glad you posted the close ups especially the face and eyes.

Cool inkwork! I like it:)

Valri, love how this turned out. Your ink work really added interest to the painting.

I don't know if there is a "right" order to do ink and wash, I have seen it done both ways. You do what works for you and this certainly does!

If Kay says this is your best painting, maybe she means the best 'fun' you've had painting or maybe you have discovered a new direction. I love it too and love your running commentary..as always.
