30 x 25cms on board. Mostly credit cards, sky wet and let colours meld.

Reminds me of the Giant's Causeway in N. Ireland. I like the effect you create with the credit cards.

Thanks Colin. The Causeway is at sea level and this is meant to be about 500 mts above, but the slabs of boulders led me to the card idea.

Very nice abstraction.

Thanks, didn't mean it as abstract but hey!

I like the foreground a lot, like the background, but it seems to be two separate paintings and I'm wanting something to bridge the two together.

I like this a lot. My eye follows the movement of the rocks and brush strokes to the farthest point and from there into the sky. Works for me.

Lots of lovely textures and colours in those rocks Derek. Big hug for your amazing commitment to painting. How are you feeling healthwise these days??

Thanks Chammi on both counts.
Painting is the one piece of therapy and "exercise" I can and love doing, being sat for a long time reading otherwise.
Dexterity and motions with the hands are still no good and won't inprove I guess and once my leg is sorted I hope to be more active and get the muscle tones back. I am now seeking slightly more adventurous subjects to paint and not rely on the cards all the time, but they are so easy for me.

I like this painting a lot. I really love the greens and darks in the rocks. The sky is beautiful, too.
