For any new acrylic painters, or new painters in general, I strongly endorse the idea of heading over to willkempartschool.com. He has a fair amount of free content and a respectable number of free video tutorials that are extremely informative. I made a tad of a dog's breakfast with this cherry, but I learned a lot. I will work on it a bit more to fix some of the details, but it is just a tutorial so I doubt I will fuss with it a lot more. I will polish it up and give it away to someone in all likelihood.

Apart from the rough shape, the form and skin texture are really good!

Very nice! I enjoy his videos and did the tutorial of the brown jug last year. It turned out very nice and I hung it up. He's great!

His website is well put together, I might try some of his tutorials myself since I'm relatively new to this medium, have only taken a 6 week course 3 years ago...lol
Have only recently begun painting again after a work injury caused me to stop for most of last year....

Will check put your cherry as it progresses.. :-)
