I've never seen an actual bluebell woods, must be a gorgeous sight.
Still plugging away at color and value studies. Here's the palette (a muted cmy basically) and value study.
And the painting, acrylics on 4x6 primed matboard, time 2 hours including value study, painting and then fussing a lot of the life out of it.:p
Thanks for hosting, Lin!

So sorry you've never experienced a bluebell carpet. it is an amazing sight and the photos don't do justice.

Love this version though considering you've never seen one you've certainly got the idea! :)

I love the light in the painting. Really catches your attention and keeps you in the painting.

Love the bluebells and the light. Pity you have never seen a bluebell wood in full glory - it is a sight to behold! You came close to the feeling though.

Love the crop and the beautiful tones you have achieved here... I applaud your colour studies, and enjoy seeing the little colour wheels almost as much as the 'main event'.
