Wonderful refs Lin.
I decided on the Dahlia, 5" x 7", ink and watercolor, Arches 140# cp, about 2 1/2 hr.

Very pretty! That dark b/g really makes that flower pop. The bit of ink you used is well placed too

I love the dark green B/G against the many shades of pink in the petals. Lovely work!

Nicely done. It's so easy yo overwork the colors on flowers especially when using reds and pinks. Your colors and very clean!

Lovely! The muted dark background works so well- I would have made it too bright, this is perfect.

Beautiful roundness and depth behind the centre of the flower ! Such pretty gradation in the petals - this is lovely !

I love the whole thing and particularly like that you left some white in the background. It's so fresh and beautiful.
